Bigg Boss OTT 2: Akanksha Puri Accuses BB Makers Of Double Standards For Promoting Her Kiss With Jad Hadid; Says, ‘Itni Problem Thi Toh Mic Pe Bol Dete’
Akanksha Puri lashed out at the makers of Bigg Boss OTT season 2 for promoting her 30 second kiss with Jad Hadid, after they had made it a big deal about it on the show
Bigg Boss OTT season 2 became a hot trending topic on the internet ever since the first day it started streaming on Jio Cinema. Termed as the unfiltered version, in the past few weeks, the show saw Akanksha Puri and Jad Hadid locking lips for 30 seconds during a task. Well not only did the makers and the contestants get slammed by the audiences, but even Salman Khan was left seething. Now, days after her eviction, Akanksha has opened up about the same and criticised the makers for promoting that kiss everywhere.
The 34-year-old actress shared her opinion on how everything panned out on the show, leading up to her eviction, in a live interview on the EloElo app. She criticized the makers and expressed how if the kiss was that much of a big deal they could have informed them to stop just like Bigg Boss usually does for other things. Quoted by ABP News, she said, “Agar ye sach mein itni badi problem thi to Bigg Boss humein mic pe bahut si cheezein bolte they ki Hindi mein baat mat karo, mic theek se pahniye to ye bhi bol dete ki ‘task hai yahi pe rok dijiye’. Akanksha slammed the makers for using the kiss incident to promote the show on all platforms. From posting teasers about it to making the kiss the thumbnail of the episode and writing ‘hottest kiss ever’. She went on to call out their double standards and revealed she can’t understand why they did what they did. Fans have come out to support her and questioned why the makers of the show didn’t stop the task from happening when it was announced. For the unversed, the show currently consists of contestants like Falaq Naaz, Jiya Shankar, Abhishek Malhan, Bebika Dhurve, Avinash Sachdev, Cyrus Broacha, Pooja Bhatt, Manisha Rani and Jad Hadid. Recently, Bigg Boss 16 contestant Abdu Rozik entered the show as a wildcard contestant.
